Description
Five years have passed since Clapton held the 1999 “Crossroads Benefit Concert” at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The purpose of this event was changed, and Clapton personally requested all of the many blues and country guitarists he respected to perform on stage for three days. This is a recording of patterns. Although it has been officially released as a 2-disc DVD, this edition is a condensed version of only the highlight scenes that were broadcast as a Japanese satellite broadcast program. I’m glad that everything is subtitled in Japanese, including the witty MCs uttered by each guitarist. The highlight of this first episode (though not limited to this one) is that you can enjoy the unexpected face-to-face stage performance of famous guitarists. The great collaboration between black blues giants B.B. King, Hubert Sumlin, and Buddy Guy, whom Clapton respects, and his allies Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, and Robert Randolph is eye-catching, but the topic of this episode is: Clapton must have brought out J.J. Cale, the legendary guitarist who hated performing in major venues and had continued his modest musical activities in his hometown of Tulsa. It was here that I was able to perform for the first time with the person I had admired since I made my first solo album in 1970. Clapton fully supports Cale as a sideman. I’m sure he was happy. And it’s been a long time since I’ve collaborated with Santana. A wry smile leaks out at Clapton, who is in a guitar battle with Santana wearing Bermuda shorts and a shirt, giving him a resort-like look. It also includes guitarists who have already passed away, including Robert Lockwood Jr., who was the adopted son of Clapton’s beloved Robert Johnson, as well as B.B., Hubert, and J.J. I think it’s fun to think about the history of blues and rock while checking out what they were like back in the day. You can also see old and new technicians such as John Mayer, Joe Walsh (Eagles), ZZ Top, and James Taylor. Also, enthusiasts will be happy to hear that country greats Vince Gill and Jerry Douglas, who are well-known guitarists, appeared on the album. Please enjoy the highlights of the first festival held by a great group of members. The Cotton Bowl, Dallas, Texas, USA 4th, 5th & 6th June 2004 PRO-SHOT (107:33) 1. Introduction feat. Interviews 2.
