Description

The live performance at Donington, England on August 18th, the main event of the MONSTERS OF ROCK tour in Europe in 1984, which was held at the time of the release of their sixth album, 1984, was recorded from the recently unearthed New Audience Master. While various sound sources have been distributed so far, the performance on this day was a matrix of the sound sources with a quality that is different from the previous ones, achieving sound board level sound quality and the longest recording time possible. The live performance was a hot topic for the album, which boldly introduced the Oberheim analog synthesizer played by Eddie, and the last live performance was the best rock entertainment show at the time when they were on a roll, starting with the familiar “Unchained”, followed by “Hot For Teacher” where Eddie’s tricky playing shines, and Alex’s drum solo early on. The album has a more adult atmosphere, with the keyboard backing “I’ll Wait” and the final song “Jump”, a parade of killer tunes, and the guitar solo, which shows his true talent, is a must-listen for guitar fans, with a variety of techniques woven into it. The final song is “Panama” and “You Really Got Me”, which creates a huge excitement. The stage full of the charm unique to VH in its heyday is reproduced here. disc one : 1. PRE-SHOW/INTRO/2.
