On September 18, 1976, San Bernardino, California, recorded a live performance at the club “Aero’s Bogarts” for about 78 minutes with high-quality audience recording. This is a sound source that has been around for a while, but this edition includes an upgraded version that has appeared in recent years. The sound quality is clear, and although you can feel the tape’s age, the freshness of the sound is perfect. Contains Van Halen’s unreleased song Believe Me from the beginning. Eddie’s transcendent solo that appears twice in the song is a must-listen. The familiar Show Your Love and Running With The Devil are also being played. Because they are sourced from the club era, most of the set is played with familiar cover songs, showing their musical roots such as Aerosmith, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Winter. You can listen to lively Van Halen versions of songs by , Kiss, Humble Pie, and Slade. Zeppelin’s The Rover, which is played as a medley from Running With The Devil, and Aerosmith’s Sweet Emotion medley are the listening points in the first half. The songs are not just tactile, but are played fairly well, so every song is worth listening to. It’s a pity that Walk This Way was cut early, but you can also enjoy the wonderful performance of Superstitious, an 8-minute performance recorded next. Dave’s vocals with a strong presence are the best in every song, but above all, Eddie’s super advanced riffs and solo play are amazing, and you will listen to each of the tricky fast-playing solos featured in each song. Since the range of the sound image is narrow, there are some parts where you would like to listen to the sound with a little more clarity, but as mentioned above, there are no problems with the freshness and clarity of the sound, so you can listen to it without stress.
