A complete recording of U.K.’s Osaka Namba Hatch performance on April 27th, the first day of their final Japan tour, which was announced as their 2015 Final World Tour, from a high-quality digital audience master from the front row. First of all, while they have held several reunion tours in Japan in recent years, their final official tour was finally announced in 2015, with the European leg starting in February, and their final live shows here in Japan in Osaka and Tokyo. It will only be held twice in total. First of all, the first day’s live performance in Osaka was perfectly recorded with the realistic and well-balanced sound that can only be achieved in a small hall.First of all, the members were Mike Mangini of Dream Theater and Chad Wackerman. Although it was planned to be a double drum set, Chad was unable to participate due to family reasons, and the band became a four-piece consisting of the two main members and the familiar Alex Macacek. The live performance started solemnly with “Thirty Years,” and suddenly the powerful performance led to the mellow “Nevermore.” And in “Carrying No Cross”, Wetton’s vocals are wonderful, and in the bass line at the end, he also shows off phrases reminiscent of “Epitaph”. After this, the middle part of the album, such as “Night After Night”, “Disturbance In Vienna”, and “Nothing To Lose”, were not played on the previous European tour, so it is important to include songs that are popular in Japan. I’m happy about that. “Rendezvous 6:02” also incorporates a new arrangement, and the lively performance of “In The Dead Of Night”, which begins with a drum solo, is one of the highlights. In addition, the songs change in “By The Light Of Day” and “Presto Vivace And Reprise” show off a wonderful ensemble, and “Forever Until Sunday” also changes with an even broader performance, and towards the end “Caesar’s Palace The flow from “Blues” to Eddie’s solo and “The Only Thing She Needs” is a masterpiece, and the performance from the middle to the second half overwhelms the audience, and the reprise of “Carrying No Cross” at the end is also wonderful. A memorial night worthy of the final beauty of the Four Patriotic Warriors is perfectly reproduced here in the highest quality. CD ONE : 1. Thirty Years/2. Nevermore/3. Carrying No Cross/4. Alaska/5.
