U2 U2/Belgium 2017 IEM Matrix Ver.

This DVD contains a full matrix of the line sound source from the uncompressed multi-ear monitor source used by the band members on stage for monitoring, and the digital audience master from the front row, from the special tour in North America and Europe held in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the release of “The Joshua Tree” in 2017, which was held in Brussels, Belgium, on August 1st, the final day of the European tour. It is a familiar recording, but in recent years, in addition to the dramatic evolution of sound factors such as the equipment used and mastering environment, the exquisite audience source used by professionals has been mixed and stereo mixed, resulting in a completely stereo soundboard sound source quality. While the basic set structure was the same as for this tour, on this day the show was dedicated to playwright and actor Sam Shepard, who had passed away four days earlier. Although the band had no direct relationship with Shepard, he had a major influence on the production of “The Joshua Tree,” so it was quite moving to hear “GHOST DANCE” by Patti Smith, who was a friend of Shepard’s, sung in “ONE.” DISC 1 : 1.
