Description

This work includes “December 4, 2019 Saitama Super Arena performance”. This is the audience shot. However, this work is not a continuous video shot by one photographer, but a combination of multiple shots. Some of you may be thinking of the video collection “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2019: THE VIDEO” that I introduced the other day, but this work is similar but different. The basics are the same, but this work is an “extended version” that has significantly increased the amount of footage instead of focusing on only the first day (with pro shots). I suddenly started talking about “the other day” and “expanded version”, but for those who don’t know, it might be “???”, so let’s start from the beginning. The basis of this work is an edited work that utilizes audience shots created by enthusiasts. However, it is not as frequent as multi-camera, and basically a full show is constructed by stacking videos of each song. Therefore, I can’t say in a nutshell that “the angle is ○○” or “the camera work is ◇◇,” but what I can say in general is the spectacular scenery and ultra-high image quality. After all, this performance in Japan is a complete reproduction of a historical masterpiece for the first time in 13 years. The scene was overflowing with fans taking pictures, including those with smartphones, and a huge amount of footage began circulating immediately after the performance. It’s only been a week since the show, so I guess they haven’t done everything they can, but it still feels like they’re on a different level from other bands. There is no doubt that they are choosing “This is it!” from that large amount of videos. Of course, depending on the song, the focus is on the sea of light from the giant screen or smartphone, so not all songs are directly shot, but in most scenes you can stare at the stage without any obstructions. And it’s because your perspective changes with each song that you never get bored. The real experience is only seen from one angle, but in that case the skill of the photographer plays a big role. If you are not very experienced with photography, you may miss the highlight or the result may become monotonous. However, the viewpoint of this work changes with each song, so you will never get tired of it, and because of the careful selection, the highlights are well captured. It’s a luxurious experience that feels like enjoying a full show while moving around in the special seats. …And so far, this is an explanation of the last edition of U. This work is a re-edited version that has increased the amount of footage from the previous edition, and has also seamlessly and beautifully rearranged the choppy editing. As of the previous edition, all the songs from the show were included, but additional selections were made from the videos that appeared later. Contains 6 additional songs. And it’s not just an increase in volume. Since it was added later, the quality exceeds the previous edition. If you have experienced the two-disc set, you will understand that the video quality was better on the second day than on the first day. This increased video is of a quality comparable to that second day. Furthermore, the final blow is the one take recorded at the end of this work. This is a pro shot from the first day in Japan that was officially released online. Although it is only the encore top “Elevation”, that huge spectacle is revived with the official multi-camera pro shot. It is truly Japan’s highest quality video. A complete reproduction of “THE JOSHUA TREE” was released for the first time in Japan on “December 4, 2019.” This work can be viewed in its entirety from a variety of perspectives.
