Description
A performance in Japan of a complete reproduction of the great masterpiece “THE JOSHUA TREE” that has finally been realized. A video work that allows you to fully experience the scene has been decided to be released! This work is an audience shot of “December 4, 2019 Saitama Super Arena Performance”. This time, there will be only two performances at the same venue. This work and the second edition “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2019 2ND NIGHT: THE VIDEO” both contain all the songs of the show, so you can witness all of the Japanese performances in the two works. This work is a collection of videos produced by enthusiasts. Actually, it is not a one-camera shot shot by one photographer, but a combination of multiple shots. However, it is not as frequent as multi-camera, and basically a full show is constructed by stacking videos of each song. Therefore, I can’t say in a nutshell that “the angle is ○○” or “the camera work is ◇◇,” but what I can say in general is the spectacular scenery and ultra-high image quality. After all, this performance in Japan is a complete reproduction of a historical masterpiece for the first time in 13 years. The scene was overflowing with fans taking pictures, including those with smartphones, and a huge amount of footage began circulating immediately after the performance. It’s only been a week since the show, so I guess they haven’t done everything they can, but it still feels like they’re on a different level from other bands. There is no doubt that they are choosing “This is it!” from that large amount of videos. Of course, depending on the song, the focus is on the sea of light from the giant screen or smartphone, so not all songs are directly shot, but in most scenes you can stare at the stage without any obstructions. And it’s because your perspective changes with each song that you never get bored. The real experience is only seen from one angle, but in that case the skill of the photographer plays a big role. If you are not very experienced with photography, you may miss the highlight or end up looking monotonous. However, the viewpoint of this work changes with each song, so you will never get tired of it, and because of the careful selection, the highlights are well captured. It’s a luxurious experience that feels like enjoying a full show while moving around in the special seats. Although the video is so great, the only thing missing is the audio. It’s not a single continuous recording, but the camera audio, so it changes all the time. Although the movement of the viewpoint can be handled like a multi-camera, the movement of the audio still feels strange (Also, in the released version, the sound of “Trip Through Your Wires” was severely distorted, so it was replaced with a different angle) . However, that is a trivial story. On the contrary, the basic quality is so good that you’ll be interested in such a jubako, and there are many highlights. Now let’s organize the first day’s set. [Main set (80s)] ●Opening: Sunday Bloody Sunday ●Before the album reproduction (4 songs)・BOY: I Will Follow (first day only)・WAR: New Year’s Day (2 takes)・THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE: Bad/Pride (In The Name Of Love) ●Album reproduction (11 songs): All THE JOSHUA TREE songs ●After album reproduction (1 song)・RATTLE AND HUM: Angel Of Harlem (first day only) [Encore (from the 90s: 8 songs)]・ACHTUNG BABY: Even Better Than The Real Thing/Ultraviolet (Light My Way)/One ・ALL THAT YOU CAN’T LEAVE BEHIND: Elevation/Beautiful Day ・HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB: Vertigo ・SONGS OF INNOCENCE: Every Breaking Wave (First day only) ・SONGS OF EXPERIENCE: Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way…and it goes like this. After opening the show with “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” they arranged famous songs in chronological order, tracing back to “I Will Follow” from their debut album “BOY,” raising expectations for “THE JOSHUA TREE.” Then, move around the stage and perform a complete performance of the famous album! That world view spreads out on the huge screen that occupies your field of vision, and you can fully immerse yourself in “THE JOSHUA TREE.” In the 2017 edition of “THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR”, there was an encore break with the grand finale of “Mothers Of The Disappeared”, but in the 2019 edition, they also played the “RATTLE AND HUM” number. Chronologically, the main set ends with the 1980s. The encore is themed “from the 90s” and features representative songs from each album (although not in chronological order). Especially on the first day, “Every Breaking Wave” was selected as the daily song, and it was a gift to Japan who could not experience the “INNOCENCE + EXPERIENCE TOUR”. This video will be released as a set of two performances at “SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 2019: THE VIDEO”, but there are some people who say, “I only need the show I saw,” or “I haven’t been to it, but I want to try just one performance.” Probably. This release is for those people. The super spectacle of “THE JOSHUA TREE TOUR”, said to be the best in the world, can only be appreciated with your own eyes. This is a piece that tells the full story of such a full show using various masterpiece videos. Live at Saitama Super Arena, Saitama, Japan 4th December 2019 AMAZING SHOTS!!!(141:13) 1. Intro 2.
