Description
A memorial live performance that is so hot, so stylish, and so ridiculously touching has been decided to be released. The main character of this work is our TWISTED SISTER. The person being memorialized is the original drummer A.J. Pero, who passed away in 2015. He suddenly passed away on March 20, 2015. He had a heart attack on the tour bus of his side project ADRENALINE MOB, and by the time the members realized it, it was too late. TWISTED SISTER, who lost A.J. Pero, moved quickly. The following April, they welcomed former DREAM THEATER member Mike Portnoy as a substitute and announced two memorial performances in 2015 and a farewell tour in 2016 called “FORTY AND F*CK IT”. In fact, the 2015 memorial performance did not end with two performances, but developed into a mini tour of 10 performances at festivals around the world. This work is an audience shot of the sixth performance, “June 28, 2015 Kavarna Rock Festival (Bulgaria)”. There is a special mood even before the show starts. The familiar AC/DC “It’s A Long Way To The Top” rings out, but the scene is not familiar. On the screen in the background, the band logo and the letters “THE SOUND OF THUNDER” and “A.J. PERO 1959-2015” are displayed, making it clear that it is a show dedicated to him. Then, as soon as the show starts, the members jump out and the fierce “What You Don’t Know” explodes, but it’s just a silhouette. Of course, the stage is fully equipped with lighting equipment, but they start playing in shadow in front of the screen without any light. The lights come on in the middle of the song, and then the show is as usual, which is also cool. While declaring the memorial in a big way, there is no sombre mood at all. As usual, they play hyper heavy metal/rock and roll, raging without saying a word. Well, if there’s one thing that’s a little different from usual, it’s that Dee Snider isn’t wearing “that makeup.” He’s showing off a tank top with a big “FUCK IT.” written on it, but he’s screaming and howling with his bare face. This is the TWISTED SISTER way. There’s no way he wouldn’t feel anything after suddenly losing his ally of 40 years. There’s no way he wouldn’t be sad. Moreover, this video was only three months after his sudden death. But he doesn’t show any of that and puts everything into hyper rock. Is there a more TWISTED SISTER-like and A.J.-like way of sending him off? Furthermore, before “The Beast,” Dee also talks about A.J., and the venue erupts in “A.J.! A.J.!” calls. Please take a look at this scene as well. Dee, with his usual jokes and provocations, is choked up by the thunderous A.J. calls. He then shouts, “A.J. was my friend. He was my brother. He was the Sound of Thunder.” The audience who witnessed Dee like that were also cool. They shouted “Twisted! Fuckin’!! Sister!!!” at Dee’s provocation, laughed at his jokes, and howled with respect and feelings for A.J. There is no need for tears to send off A.J., who was the coolest, the most fun, and the most rocking. The best way to send him off is to have fun and rock with all your might…. They don’t say it in words, but Dee and the audience know it. That kind of empathy is hot in my heart. After that, the frenzied heavy metal and heart-warming scenes are repeated many times, and it is a piece overflowing with feelings that can’t be described in detail, but there is one thing I really want to tell you about. The drum solo that explodes in “Burn in Hell”. The song breaks and Mike Portnoy starts playing a simple beat, which is replaced by A.J., who is shown on the screen. A.J.’s drum solo explodes seamlessly. And at the end of the solo, Dee returns to the stage and screams, “On Drums, the Sound Of Thunder! A! J! Peroooooo!!” What a proud face. Dee’s expression as he shouts the name of his ally who has been rocking with him for half his life. This is TWISTED SISTER. It is the soul of a real band that has driven metal and rock guys all over the world crazy. Because the video was so hot, I forgot to write something important. The quality of this work is superb. A close-up shot that freely covers every corner of the stage from the front seat slightly to the right of the center of the stage. It is a masterpiece video that allows you to witness Dee’s flowing blonde hair, beautifully ripped abs, and intense diaphragm movements in a super clear manner. However, the show in this work is so hot that it makes you forget to convey its quality, and it is a masterpiece that is so rock-hard. This is the passionate performance of a band that lost a friend and decided to break up. Hyper rock and roll that shouts A.J.’s name many times and does not shed a single tear until the very end. There have been countless memorial concerts and breakup tours in the long history of rock. However, I have never seen such a cool way to send it off. I don’t care what the public thinks. The audience in front of me is everything. A memorial concert that laughs, screams, and rages because of TWISTED SISTER, who has run through such 40 years. This is a film that allows the audience to experience the whole picture 100% of the real thing. Live at Kaliakra Stadium, Kavarna, Bulgaria 28th June 2015 AMAZING SHOT (98:31) 1.
