Toto/Europe Tour 2013 Vol.1

The second day of the 2013 European tour, which commemorated the 35th anniversary of their debut, was held in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg on May 31st, and the next day, June 1st, at the Lorelei in St. Goarshausen, Germany. A complete recording of the stages performed at “High Rock Festival” with high quality audience recordings. First of all, the Luxembourg performance is recorded with the highest level of sound comparable to the sound board, from the opening On The Run / Goodbye Elenore to the encore Home Of The Brave. The highlight is the 7th song, It’s A Feeling from “IV”, which will be the first time Lukather will perform it on stage, as Lukather says, “It’s a song I’ve never played before.” Furthermore, the stage performance that served as a bird at the “High Rock Festival” outdoor stage where FM, Rick Springfield, Survivor and others appeared is also recorded from the original audience master. Compared to the Luxembourg sound source, the sound is a little denser, but the direct feeling and clarity of the sound are comparable, and the quality can be said to be sufficient. And, of course, Lukather’s playing is wonderful, as is the slimmed-down Joseph Williams, whose tight and powerful vocals are overwhelming. Also, because it was a festival, three songs were missing from their regular set: St. George And The Dragon, I’ll Be Over You, and It’s a Feeling, but they still put on a perfect performance for about two hours.
