Description
From the “Summer Festival Tour” which was held about 10 shows in 1991, the stage at the Midfins Festival held on the island of Funen in Denmark on June 27th was recorded completely with a superb stereo soundboard recording. After Jean-Michel Byron was fired, Lukather became the lead vocalist for most of the tour, and Jeff Porcaro was the drummer. The “Montreux Jazz Festival” is famous for the summer of 1991, but this album, which allows you to enjoy all the songs of the concert with vivid line recordings, is a very attractive one for fans. In particular, Stop Loving You, Child’s Anthem, Girl Goodbye, which were not included in the Montreux take, and Kingdom Of Desire and Jake To The Bone, which can be heard with Jeff’s drums, are very pleasing takes for fans. The unexpected brass synth solo before the piano solo in the second half of Rosanna sounds fresh. It is clear that the Jimi Hendrix cover Red House, which is now Lukather’s representative solo number, was played from this period. In addition, it is a rare number On The Run, Sly & The Family Stone’s I Want To Take You Higher, and other items that are full of listening points. This is an excellent piece in terms of both content and sound quality. The ultra-high quality line recording item, which was released in 2007 and received great acclaim from fan media, will be re-released with a bonus title.
