Description
The Nagoya City Public Hall performance on November 1st, the final day of the Japan tour, from the seventh visit to Japan accompanying the best album “Past To Present” released in 1990, which includes four new songs, is fully recorded with an official super high quality stereo sound board sound source. The super high quality stereo line recording sound source, which was previously released under the title “Farewell” and surprised TOTO fans around the world, has been remastered and recorded from the original tape. Although the cheers between songs are not heard and it becomes quiet because it is a direct connection to the desk, the wonderful sound quality is worth noting. The noise during Love Has The Power, which had sound problems in the past, is also kept to a minimum, and the scattered noise heard in various places is almost inaudible on this board. Core fans who thought “It’s a great sound source, but the noise is disappointing” will be greatly relieved by the appearance of this definitive edition. There are almost no other recordings of the Japan tour featuring Jean-Michel Byron, a South African vocalist who was only enrolled during this period, so this is a very valuable record. Since there are few recordings to begin with, Byron is not very highly rated, but if you listen to his soulful and emotional vocals on this recording, no one would disagree that he was a first-class vocalist with outstanding abilities. Furthermore, this concert was Jeff Porcaro’s final concert in Japan with TOTO, so many people will listen to this album with emotion. Apart from the noise caused by deterioration of the DAT tape at 2:34, 3:05, 3:10, and 3:15 in Love Has The Power, the soundboard recording is in perfect condition. There are many noises that have been problematic in previous releases, as well as the blank space after the end of American Girl and the missing 28 seconds of Rosanna, which are not included in this album. This 2-CD set is a must-have for fans, with superb content, value, and sound quality. Live at Nagoya-shi Kokaido, Nagoya, Japan 1st November 1990 STEREO SBD(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (57:00) 1.
