This 105-minute complete recording of the show at the New Morning club in Paris, France on June 22nd, from the 1988 European tour, was recently re-aired by a local radio station, and is recorded in official quality, stereo soundboard audio. First of all, the members are the same as those from the three albums after the band moved to the new Blue Note, Wallace Roney, Billy Pierce, Mulgrew Miller, and bassist Robert Hurst in the early quintet formation. And the persuasive playing of the group led by a drummer who has literally struggled at the very forefront of his career over the past quarter century is the height of fulfillment, and the playing of the members who have been almost the same lineup since the late 1980s is also wonderful, making this a must-listen item for fans.
