Description
This nearly complete 1 hour and 26 minute recording features a live performance from Santa Cruz on July 24th, 1979, from the North American tour just prior to the release of their third album, “DAMN THE TORPEDOES,” recorded on a stereo soundboard source unearthed by a source involved in the project. While there’s a slight vintage feel due to aging, the analog and direct sound is unmatched by recent digital releases. While the album focuses on tracks from their first two albums, it also features covers and new material from “DAMN THE TORPEDOES,” with rare tracks like “The Wild One Forever” and “Dog on the Run” being particularly noteworthy. While still rough around the edges, this is the best quality recording of the band’s performance just before their breakthrough with the smash hit of their third album.
