Description
The final day of the 1976 Japan tour accompanying the masterpiece “Taiyoujin”, the performance at Nakano Sun Plaza on December 12th, was recorded in a superb audience recording over 1 hour and 30 minutes. (“Taiyoujin” was scheduled to be released worldwide in early 1977, but was released in Japan only in advance.) Although the band was formed of 6 people instead of 4 people, the sound image was thicker than expected, full of creativity and dramatic, and this is a valuable record of the legendary first visit to Japan that captivated Japanese fans. Todd’s vocals and guitar playing, which are full of presence, are a great listening experience for every song, and you can hear the best performance. The set, which effectively arranges utopia numbers and Todd’s solo numbers, is very diverse and very progressive, just like the album. Roger’s shoulder keyboard and keyboard play using the monster Electone GX-1, which cost 7 million yen at the time, add a touch of glamour to the stage sound. Since all the members are vocal, the chorus is perfect, and you can enjoy a very sophisticated new era progressive rock. In fact, it is a long concert of nearly two hours, and it is a pity that the last peak of the show, Heavy Metal Kids, Hiroshima, Singling and The Grass Guitar, is unpaid, but you can enjoy the wonderful performance recorded on the precious 90-minute tape that is completely new and has not been circulated among traders at all, with the best sound quality that will amaze enthusiasts.
