The Who/Who’s Next Sessions

Contains alternate mixes related to the album “WHO’S NEXT” released in 1971. Contains session recordings held at Record Plant in New York in March 1971, and then at Olympic Studios in London from April to June. There are quite a lot of studio outtakes related to “WHO’S NEXT”, including the CD “FROM LIFEHOUSE TO LEEDS” by Scorpio Productions, which had a series of shocking titles on the collector’s CD Genesis, and the CD released about 10 years ago. Representative titles include the CD “NEXT SESSIONS” (StoneAge Music). However, some songs were officially released as bonus tracks in the mix and remaster release of a series of official album remaster projects that started in 1995, and then in 2003, the deluxe edition was also released. Due to the large number of recordings (including the expanded re-recording of the 1995 Remix & Remaster Edition), the songs that could only be heard on the Collector’s Edition are no longer available. Therefore, the collector’s titles that have been released so far are generally considered to be obsolete, but in reality, there are obvious mix differences between the collector’s title version and the official release version. It is an interesting result that includes performance parts that can only be heard in the version, and as an alternate version that is unlikely to be released in the future, it is still a must-see from a mania perspective. This time, we picked up the sound sources that are significantly different from the official release version from among the many sound sources that exist, and recorded them for 78 and a half minutes, which is just the length of the CD.
