Description
This live performance at the “New York Rock Festival” held in New York on August 2, 1968, from the first US tour after the release of “THE WHO SELL OUT”, was recorded from the audience master, which, although some parts were cut, was in fairly good condition for the time and directly conveyed the heat of the time. While many tour recordings after the release of “TOMMY” the following year have been leaked, this 1968 tour recording is quite valuable, as there are almost no recordings of it. This festival was held before Woodstock, and Jimi Hendrix and The Doors also appeared. In that strange atmosphere, the band’s high-tension performance, full of energy as they headed towards their climax, is a must-listen, and the explosive sound that evokes excitement and emotion is overwhelming. 01.
