Description
This is a miraculous piece of THE WHO’s first album “MY GENERATION” released in December 1965, which was reprinted from the original British Brunswick label by an overseas enthusiast. A masterpiece among masterpieces that can be called an epoch in rock history. It is no exaggeration to say that the high quality and modern sound production that does not feel old even when listening to it now, was even better than the Stones and Beatles. The great thing about this foreign enthusiast’s efforts to convert the master records into discs is a familiar explanation: “one of the best quality records” and “the master records in miraculous condition” are “cleaned to the ultimate condition.” The fact that it has been made into a CD with “an impossible sound that has been cleaned up and has no needle cracks”, of course there is no sense of intentionality at all, and the sound image is extremely fresh and mint that you can’t help but feel that it is “the master itself”. It’s about being able to enjoy it. If you have already listened to the above group of titles, you will understand that this is not just a “master record drop”. “Playing the best discs with high-end equipment” is just that, but there has never been a project to reproduce sound to this level (though, as mentioned above, it doesn’t feel artificial). I think it’s fair to say that it’s at a very high level. As any rock fan knows, WHO’s first project is not only good in content, but also very attractive from the perspective of its era and history. In other words, despite the album’s content, it was discontinued in the UK in a short period of time due to Brunswick, the album’s distributor, closing down in 1967 and troubles with the producer who held the master rights. In other words, it had not been in circulation for about two years at the time, and it was turned into a “phantom piece” as it was, and the master disc itself was traded at a high price among enthusiasts, an unusual situation for the first album of such a big band. . However, the US version with a different jacket, different song order, and pseudo-stereo was not discontinued. It was out of print worldwide for over 10 years until it was finally reissued in 1980 by Virgin in the UK in mono version with the same content as the original, so rock fans surprisingly missed the chance to listen to it at the time. I hear there are many. Even in the CD era, just like LPs, only US CDs with different jackets, different track orders, and pseudo-stereo versions were released, but in 2002, a deluxe edition was finally released in real stereo from the original master tape. Mixing was done (this is the first time that real stereo has been released. However, some songs are also in pseudo stereo), and the (long-awaited) release of the songs in the original order has been completed. However, the mono edition was never reissued at that time, but suddenly in 2008, it was finally made into a CD in the original format with a Japanese edition led by a Japanese record company, and it is such a masterpiece. However, it is an album that feels like it has finally settled into the form it should be, after some strange fate. THE WHO’s first album, which has had many strange reissues over the years, is revived with a realistic tone from 1965. Monaural sound just like the original. Enjoy one of the best records with the best sound! Taken from the original UK Mono LP(Brunswick Record, LAT 8616)(36:05) 1. Out in the Street 2. I Don’t Mind 3. The Good’s Gone 4. La-La-La-Lies 5.
