Description

The ABC & D Of Boogie Woogie, an R&B band formed by Charlie Watts during the Rolling Stones’ hiatus, started their live performance in 2011 with Ian Stewart, the Stones’ longtime pianist and roadie. ‘s tribute concert “BOOGIE 4 STU”. Even though it was a recent event in 2011, or perhaps because smartphone video recording was not as popular as it is now, you can barely see Ronnie Wood’s “Worried Life Blues” on YouTube. The two shows held on March 9th have remained hidden until now. However, we independently obtained an audience shot video taken by a maniac who participated in the event. This is a video that has not been circulated among traders or on the internet, and of course was shot by a different person than the one who shot “Worried Life Blues” earlier. What’s great about this is that the show is completely recorded (although it is unclear which stage it was for the second time), and the whole picture of the event, which had only been glimpsed in snippets until now, has finally been revealed. It is. What is surprising is the image quality and angles that are still relevant even 9 years later. From the beginning of the event, there were a series of great close-ups, such as Bill Wyman’s goofy expression after singing “You Never Can Tell,” or Mick Taylor taking the lead in “Bring It On Home To Me.” He captures the scene in which he plays the guitar in such a splendid close-up that you can’t help but call it a “professional shot”. The event itself started with The ABC & D Of Boogie Woogie’s signature boogie-woogie show style. Musicians with ties to Stu and artists who respect him will appear. In particular, when Mick Hucknall (Simply Red was disbanding at the time) appeared, the R&B color of the event became sharper. Bill joins there, and Taylor and Ronnie appear from “Roomin’ House Boogie” and it looks like a Stones reunion. As expected, this is an event to honor Stu, who supported the group behind the scenes. This alone is worth mentioning, but the image quality is so good that you can realistically see the members relaxing and enjoying the performance. Especially in the second half of the show, it is attractive that the early Stones repertoire such as “Don’t Lie To Me”, “Down The Road Apiece”, and “Can I Get A Witness” are played in quick succession. In particular, in “Can I ~”, it is interesting to see the pianists including Jools Holland take turns playing the piano solo, and you can enjoy it from a wonderful angle. An extremely rare audience member obtained exclusively from us has now revealed that the Stu memorial event, which had been kept a secret until now, was actually a Stones reunion, and that it was a relaxing and exciting boogie-woogie show throughout.・Shot video.
