Description
This is an official unreleased live performance by a duo of Europe’s leading pianist Tete Montoliu and Danish virtuoso bassist Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen, recorded on August 28, 1986 at the Chicago Jazz Festival, in the finest stereo soundboard recording. The two had performed together in the 1970s on trio masterpieces such as “Tete!” and “Tete a Tete,” and this is a sequel to the duo recording of “Face To Face” released in 1982. Tete Montoliu’s superb technique on the hard piano and Pedersen’s heavy, technical bass are perfectly matched in spirit. You can enjoy the superb sound of Tete and Pedersen’s rare live performance at the Chicago Jazz Festival in 1986.
