Description
From the 1972 Euro tour, disc:1 includes an almost complete recording of the March 3rd live performance in Berlin, Germany, which was an A-rank audience recording at the time. From early heavy blues to rock’n’roll, the band and ensemble perform passionately, centering on Alvin Lee’s extremely fast-playing guitar, and also perform thrilling ad-libs, which can only be seen at their peak. In addition, disc:2 includes the July 13th performance in Frankfurt, Germany from this summer’s tour, with a soundboard sound source leaked from the people involved. Some of this was also adopted for the official live album, but here we use a different source with a different mix and edit. In addition, the tour with Procol Harum was also held in Japan during this time, and the sets were almost the same in both cases, with a rushing performance that has been described as Alvin Lee’s machine gun picking. Kata’s powerful solo play is truly impressive. And among the variety of performances from blues to hard rock numbers, the nearly 16-minute I Can’t Keep From Crying, Sometimes, where you can enjoy slow and fast performances, is a great listen.
