The Derek Trucks Band was re-formed and re-assembled with the addition of Derek’s wife, Susan Tedeschi, who is also a famous singer-songwriter. This is a live recording from a festival they performed at during their first album period. Since there was a performance slot at the festival, it fits on one disc and is easy to listen to. The sound quality is an audience recording, but for better or worse, it is like a soundboard, and the good thing is that the performance is clearly captured, but the bad thing is that there is no spread and no realism. Please enjoy the performance of the modern Band, the crucible of American music, at the time of their inception.
