Description
This special live performance by STUFF, held at the Bottom Line in New York from the end of 1976 to the following year, has been digitally remastered from the high-quality stereo soundboard master. It is not difficult to imagine how fulfilling the gig held in New York on New Year’s Eve in 1976, when this supergroup consisting of Gordon Edwards, Cornell Dupree, Eric Gale, Richard Tee, Steve Gadd, Christopher Parker, and New York studio musicians released their first album, “STUFF”. From t2 to t4, Van McCoy, who was the spark that started the disco boom and was at the peak of his career at the time, and from t5 to t10, Ashford & Simpson, who worked on the classics “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Let’s Go Get Stoned”, made a guest appearance, making this a stage that was too glamorous in every respect. This is a timeless and wonderful live performance that all fans of jazz, fusion, R&B, and soul should listen to.
