Description
A group that symbolizes the fusion boom that caused a huge stir in Japan, when everything was sparkling, and a staff of 6 talented people from New York, the epicenter of popular music, and 6 legendary original members. The only Japanese performance will be released for the first time in a miraculous high-quality complete version! ! The only concert with all six original members was on their second tour (their first full-fledged solo tour) in November 1977. The precious live performance from the legendary 1977 tour held at the Shinjuku Kosei Nenkin Kaikan on November 19th was recorded in its entirety for the first time over an hour and a half on a superbly high-quality stereo soundboard that had been carefully mastered by the label. The set has arrived! ! The concert started with “More Stuff,” which was just released as Staff’s masterpiece produced by Van McCoy, and “Love of Mine,” which features Gordon’s flavorful, tired vocals. . Other songs include “Love the One You’re With,” which Stephen Stills released on his solo album during his time at CSN&Y, and Bobbi Gentry’s hit “Ode to Billie Joe,” featuring Dupree and Tee. The medley includes the lighthearted “Happy Farms,” Tee’s transcendent piano, and Gad and Parker’s drums explode in “Take the A Train,” as well as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Rhapsody.” A killer medley including “In Blue”, “Honey Coral Rock” where Gail’s guitar is irresistible, and “Billy” which became famous when Joe Cocker picked it up and was enchanted by Tea’s beautiful electric piano. -The beautiful ballad “You’re So Beautiful” written by Preston and others, are the essence of the group that has supported southern soul, R&B, and swamp. Armed with a muddy groove and a strong sound, they have a human touch that makes you feel as if they are singing. Captivated the hearts of the audience with their overflowing performance. To modern ears, many fusion works from that time sound old-fashioned, but they are still full of fresh flavor and make you want to listen to them over and over again. The strongest item that perfectly captures the entire concert on the sound board has arrived! ! Live at Kosi-Nenkin Kaikan Hall,Shinjuku,Tokyo November.19.1977 SBD Recording EX 90 min Disc 1 1.
