Sting/TV Performances 2016-2017

This DVD compiles all the TV performances that were made for the promotion of the release of “57TH & 9TH” in 2016, which declared the band’s return to rock for the first time in 17 years, in master quality and professional shot footage. Disc 1 contains a total of 80 minutes of live TV performances that were made in various countries for the album promotion. It also contains plenty of performances from Europe and the United States, including video clips. Disc 2 also contains a complete set of master quality and professional shot footage from French TV on-air sources of the memorable revival performance at the Bataclan Theater in Paris, which finally reopened one year after the tragic terrorist attack on November 12, 2016. The theater was one of the targets of the Paris terrorist attacks that occurred on November 13 of the previous year, and the tragedy occurred during a live performance by the American Eagles of Death Metal at the time. Since then, it has been closed, but it will reopen from this day, and Sting will be the first to perform the memorable performance. The concert started with a moment of silence, followed by songs from the album and, of course, Police classics. This special show also featured guest Ibrahim Maalouf, a Lebanese jazz trumpeter active in France, and Henry Padubani, the original guitarist of The Police. All of these are must-see items for fans of the band’s 2016 Japan tour.
