Description
THE POLICE’s “BROKEN MUSIC TOUR” was a big success. The best multi-camera pro shots are now available. This work includes the “September 24, 2005 Warsaw performance (Poland)”. In January 2005, they also came to Japan, but at that time it was a tour accompanying the album “SACRED LOVE”. However, immediately after that, in March, they started a tour titled “BROKEN MUSIC”, which was also the title of Sting’s autobiography. At that time, THE POLICE was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, and in 2007 they actually held a reunion tour. “2005” was the year in between. This work is a pro shot of a show that was realized amid the growing winds of reevaluation of THE POLICE. And the quality is also ironclad. It is a pro shot of the local TV station “TVP2” broadcast, but the camera work and sound board are almost official. I say “almost” here because the resolution is a little lower than modern standards. However, this is the result of 12 years since this footage was released, and it would have been enough to be released as an official DVD at the time. In fact, the recording of this work is extremely wonderful. Poland, a former communist country, had the image of being a backward country in rock, but it has been about 15 years since the end of the Cold War. In the meantime, many British and American rock musicians have visited the country on tour, and it has made great progress. The close-up of Sting, the way each member’s highlights are captured, and the sense of scale of the venue are all perfect. The cuts that lick the venue with three-dimensional movements are dynamic, as if they were modeled after the Wacken Festival in neighboring Germany. The quality of the film depicts the paradise of THE POLICE, as mentioned above. Of course, since it is Sting’s tour, he also plays solo numbers, but only 7 out of the 20 songs are “The Hounds Of Winter”, “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You”, “Heavy Cloud No Rain”, “Why Should I Cry For You”, “The Soul Cages”, “Desert Rose” and “Fragile”. The other 13 songs are thoroughly THE POLICE’s super masterpieces rushing in. Of course, the official video “CERTIFIABLE: LIVE IN BUENOS AIRES” was also produced from the subsequent reunion tour, but this work also features “Demolition Man”, “Spirits In The Material World” and “A Day In The Life” which cannot be seen there. It is a show that truly catches the wind of THE POLICE reevaluation head-on. It is exactly “the night before the reunion of THE POLICE”. It is an excellent official-class professional shot that conveys the wind of such an era. You can simply watch it as a video work filled with good songs and good performances, or you can enjoy it as a prequel to “CERTIFIABLE: LIVE IN BUENOS AIRES”. It’s a superb multi-camera pro shot that is the best in any way. Live at Sluzewic Horse Racing Ring, Warsaw, Poland 24th September 2005 PRO-SHOT 1. Message In A Bottle 2. Demolition Man 3.
