Sting/Japan Tour 2017 Collection

In 2016, the band announced a return to rock with the release of their album “57TH & 9TH” and began their long-awaited Japan tour with a total of four performances, including the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on June 6th, 7th and 8th, and the final performance on June 10th in Osaka. Disc 1 includes the memorable first day of the Budokan performance on June 6th, recorded with various audience footage including mobile. Except for some cuts, the footage is almost complete, and all of the footage selected from good audience shots is clear and has stable angles, as well as good shots from close range. And just like their previous South American tour, they performed a simple and lean performance every day, just as they had been known, and it was great to see eight Police numbers, including “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic,” which was included in the set from the previous South American tour. And of course, the melancholy that occasionally peeks into the rock style, including the album numbers as well as his solo representative songs, is something that only Sting can do. Also, Bowie’s “Ashes to Ashes” with his son Joe’s vocals was moving, and especially the encore “Every Breath You Take” when the lights and penlights stood together in the venue was very moving. Furthermore, disc:2, although all of them are digest-like, includes 10 songs from the 7th performance, 14 songs from the 8th performance, which was the additional performance and the final performance in Tokyo, and 9 songs from the Osaka performance on the 10th, which was the final day in Japan, all of which are recorded with various good audience footage. Thus, for a total of 4 hours and 10 minutes, this is a memorial item of the 2017 Japan tour that will bring back those emotions again.
