Sting has decided to perform in Japan with his re-recording album “MY SONGS”, which is an updated version of his classic songs. Introducing a super-excellent video that allows you to experience the latest tour. This work was filmed at the Boulogne-Billancourt performance on May 28, 2019. This is a super close-up audience shot. This year, a show with Sting & Shaggy was held in the spring, but he is currently in the middle of a summer European tour as a solo artist. First of all, let’s check the position of the show, including the recent situation. 2019/February 14th: Oshawa/April 13th-May 12th: North America #1 (5 performances)/May 19th-24th: STING & SHAGGY (4 performances)《May 24th “MY SONGS” released》・May 28th-August 2nd: Europe #1 (41 performances)←★Here★・August 23rd-September 2nd: North America #2 (8 performances)・October 5th- 15th: Korea/Japan (6 performances) ・October 18th – November 2nd: Europe #2 (11 performances) 2020 ・May 22nd – June 6th: Las Vegas (8 performances) ・August 15th Sunday – September 2nd: Las Vegas (8 performances) This is the schedule announced so far. The “MY SONGS TOUR” starts with “Europe #1” in conjunction with the new release, and will run until the fall after coming to Japan. We have also decided to perform in Las Vegas in 2020, but this will not be a daily tour, but a concert residency where we will hold concerts at the same venue over and over again. And, the Boulogne-Billancourt performance of this work was the first concert immediately after the release of “MY SONGS”, and the first day of the world tour. If the show is special, the quality is also special. Closer to furious than anything else! In terms of angle, it’s a little to the left of Sting, but it’s probably in the front row. In fact, the field of view is almost fixed, and there is almost no ingenuity in camera work or sense for zooming, but there is no need in the first place. The angle at which I looked up at Sting right in front of me was exactly like that of a camera pit, and of course the arms and heads of the front row couldn’t be seen. It is not uncommon for people to be shaken by intense enthusiasm when it comes to the front row, but there is no need to worry about that in this work. You can continue to stare at the show with a sharp field of view, and it is a visual beauty that does not surprise you at all even if it is one angle of a professional shot or a shot of a person involved. And the sound suitable for that super close-up shot is also exquisite. It is common knowledge in audience recording that the front row does not necessarily have a good sound, but this work is definitely a success example. It directly picks up the output sound of a nearby PA, and fortunately there is almost no sound circulation. Although it absorbs the excitement of the audience, it is balanced from the back, and does not come between the strong and meaty sound of the performance (though a few voices and clapping from those right next to the photographer do come in). You can truly enjoy a special seat experience like no other. With that quality, the greatest hits that become “MY SONGS to see with your eyes” are depicted. I knew that the tour would be the best because “MY SONGS” is a rebirth of all-time great songs including THE POLICE, but it wasn’t just about performing all 15 songs. On stage, “Next To You”, which was also included in the deluxe edition, was added, as well as “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic”, “Wrapped Around Your Finger”, “King Of Pain” and “Seven Days”. It is definitely the best song selection, but it is not the only one. “Waiting For The Break Of Day” from his collaboration with Shaggy “44/876” is also selected. Even if it is THE POLICE number, this is the first time that “Can’t Stand Losing You” will be included in the regular set of a solo tour. A collection of masterpieces created by a rare genius songwriter. This is a super class audience shot where you can fully enjoy the latest version from the front seat. Although it is perfect for anticipating upcoming performances in Japan, this work is more than that. This is a cultural heritage-level video work that has mastered the three elements of “the ultimate best set,” “a front-row experience,” and “beautiful quality.” A must-have for both preparation and the ultimate concert experience.
