Description
The “Marco Moir” collection has been creating a whirlwind of interest in the collector world with a series of popular works. The latest work, the Sting edition, is here. This work is recorded in “Costa Mesa performance on May 7, 1993”. It is a superb audience recording. At that time, Sting was sweeping the world with his big “TEN SUMMONER’S TALES Tour” that lasted for three years. Our shop has archived many masterpieces, so let’s organize the collection and approach the position of this work from the overview of his activities at that time. 1993 ・March 12th – April 22nd: Europe #1 (30 shows) ・April 30th – June 26th: North America #1 (44 shows) ←★Here★ ・July 2nd – October 31st: Europe #2 (47 shows) ←※Official LIVE 1993 1994 ・January 7th – 14th: Europe #3 (7 shows) ・January 18th – February 13th: Japan #1/Asia/Australia (21 shows) ・February 18th – March 6th: North America #2 (12 shows) ←※NEW JERSEY 1994 ・March 9th – 27th: Central and South America (10 shows) ←※BUENOS AIRES 1994, September 18-October 23: Europe #4/South Africa (16 shows) 1995, June 16-22: Japan #2 (1 show) This is Sting from 1993 to 1995. The symbol of the tour is the official video “SUMMONER’S TRAVELS: LIVE 1993”, but the Costa Mesa performance in this work is the 6th performance of “North America #1”, about two months before that. From this “North America #1”, we have introduced the original 3-disc recording “LAS VEGAS 1993”, but this work is also one week before that. This work that conveys such a show is a new masterpiece of the “Marco Moir” collection, which is currently a hot topic. “Marco Moir” is a Californian recordist who was active from the 1980s to the early 1990s, but because he is not interested in trading and is the type who records only for himself, his works have been little known. However, in 2025, the famous collector “Lucifer Burns” digitized them one after another. Every time they are released online, the show contents that no one has heard before and the outstanding sound are a hot topic. This work is also a masterpiece that makes the golden sign of the “Marco Moir” collection shine even more. The thick core reaches the ears without any sense of distance, and the details and separation are very clear. It absorbs the lively cheers up close, so it is not mistaken for a sound board, but the essential performance sounds and vocals are likely to be mistaken. The reason for this is of course the skill of the recordist, but in this work, the elements of the venue cannot be ignored. After all, the “Pacific Amphitheater” where the event took place is an amphitheater with no ceiling or walls to reflect sound. The open feeling is like an outdoor festival, and the sound emitted by the PA is picked up with zero echoes. Such a thick and direct outdoor sound depicts a full show with plenty of famous songs that can’t be heard in the official video “SUMMONER’S TRAVELS: LIVE 1993”. Let’s organize the full set here. Solo (13 songs) Ten Summoner’s Tales: If I Ever Loose My Faith/Heavy Cloud No Rain (★)/Love Is Stronger Than Justice (★)/Seven Days (★)/Fields Of Gold/Probably Me (★)/Shape Of My Heart (★)/Saint Augustine In Hell (★)/She’s Too Good For Me/Nothing ‘Bout Me Others: A Day In The Life (★)/Englishman In New York/Fragile THE POLICE (6 songs + α) Synchronicity: Synchronicity II/King Of Pain/Every Breath You Take Others: Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic/Roxanne (★)/Medley (★: Bring On The Night/When the World Is Running Down/You Make the Best of What’s Still Around *Note: The “★” mark indicates songs from the official video “SUMMONER’S TRAVELS: LIVE” Songs that were not included in “1993”. …And so on. In addition to the official footage of this tour, the soundboard masterpiece “NEW JERSEY 1994 PRE-FM” is also fresh in my memory, but “Heavy Cloud No Rain”, “Love Is Stronger Than Justice”, “Seven Days”, “Probably Me” and “Saint Augustine In Hell” are repertoires that could not be heard there either. This is a masterpiece of outdoor recording that boasts an exceptional direct feeling even in the “Marco Moir” collection, each one of which is shocking. A new masterpiece that allows you to fully experience the “TEN SUMMONER’S TALES Tour” with the best sound from “master technique + zero echo venue”. The best audience recording of the “May 7, 1993 Costa Mesa performance”. The much talked about “Marco This is the first recording from the “Moir” collection, and because it was recorded outdoors at the “Pacific Amphitheater”, the PA output was recorded directly with zero echo. The solid core reaches your ears without any sense of distance, and the details and separation are very clear, making this a new masterpiece that allows you to fully experience the “TEN SUMMONER’S TALES Tour”.
