After being a member of the band Alien Project, Steve Perry joined Journey as a vocalist after passing a demo tape audition in 1977. He contributed to the group through singing and writing, and left Journey in 1998 to go solo. His solo record debut was in 1982 while still in the group. This is a collection of videos of Steve Perry, whose charms include his high-pitched, husky singing voice and ballads. The expression “a song so good you’ll never forget it once you’ve heard it” is often used, but it seems like it was made for this song, “OH SHERRIE.” He is so famous for his expressive singing and his role as the “face” of Journey’s golden age as a literal frontman, so it’s a shame that there is no chance of him returning.
