Description

Steve Hackett has suddenly become hot with the decision to come to Japan to recreate “SECONDS OUT”. His latest live album is here. The masterpiece “RIDGEFIELD 2022” was just recently well received, but another powerful new masterpiece has been born. This work is recorded from the “April 7, 2022 Collingswood performance”. It is a super-class audience recording that vacuum-packs the whole story. This work is the second report following the aforementioned “RIDGEFIELD 2022”. We reported on Hackett’s recent situation last time, but it cannot be said that it has penetrated yet, so let’s review it once again. 2022 “SECONDS OUT + MORE!” March 6th-17th: Europe #1 (9 performances) April 2nd-May 19th: North America #1 (32 performances) ←★Here★ June 17th-26th: Oceania (6 performances) July 8th-10th: Japan (3 performances) July 20th-August 1st: Europe #2 (9 performances) *August 12th: Cropredy Festival appearance *August 17th-30th: STEVE & DJABE (4 performances) “FOXTROT at FIFTY + HACKETT HIGHLIGHTS” September 9th-October 12th: UK (25 performances) “SECONDS OUT + MORE!’ November 29th – December 4th: North America #2 (4 performances) 2023 *January 21st + 22nd: UK (2 acoustic performances) *April 14th – 16th: Germany (co-performed with Orchestra) *Note: The “・” mark is usually a GENESIS REVISITED performance, and “*” is other performances. This is the 2022/2023 schedule that has been published so far. Currently, “North America #1” across the ocean is being carried out, and in three months, it will come to Oceania → Japan. The Collingswood performance of this work is the fifth performance of such “North America #1”. It was a concert three days after the previous work “RIDGEFIELD 2022”. This work recorded at such a show is wonderful as if it was a picture of “excellence”. As expected, it is not as good as the previous work “RIDGEFIELD 2022”, which was a masterpiece. It’s actually better!?!? If you’ve experienced the previous work, you’ll understand that “RIDGEFIELD 2022” is also a masterpiece that is no joke. “Has the 2022 audience recording evolved to this extent…?” he sighed, and was relieved that “this is the preparatory board for now.” However, this work has already surpassed that masterpiece. Comparing it to those who have experienced the previous work, the key point is thickness. The hall sound, which is so natural and subtle that it cannot be heard even if you listen carefully with headphones, is definitely present, and treats the core. It creates an exquisite luster, thickness, and dynamism without tainting the clarity or sense of separation at all. It is completely soundboard-class… no, it’s official-class sound. It’s a completely amazing transcendent sound, but there was a reason for that. In fact, the person who worked on this work is a modern master and a highly acclaimed master. It’s Mr. “Tapehead2”. He is a master among masters, sending out the latest tour masterpieces of various bands one after another, mainly in the progressive genre. We have introduced many collections in our shop, and it is difficult to give examples. However, when recommending this work, I would like you to know about GENESIS’s four-disc set “MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 2021”. The original went to eternal sleep the other day, but its last tour was one of the world’s best masterpieces. Mr. “Tapehead2” also worked on that masterpiece. As expected, the scale of the show is completely different, but it is also a sister work that allows you to compare the original and Hackett shows, which are less than six months apart, with the same recording collection. Anyway, the master sound is drawn with the latest full show centered on the reproduction of “SECONDS OUT”. The current tour is roughly two types of patterns that are carried out on a daily basis, one of which is [Moonlight Knight + Seconds Out (Moonlight Song Nuki)] and the other is [Solo + Seconds Out]. This day was the latter. Let’s review the contents once again. Part 1: Solo, Journey of the Acolyte Priest: Shadow Of The Hierophant, Rainbow Morning: Clocks – The Angel of Mons/Every Day, SURRENDER OF SILENCE: Held In The Shadows/The Devil’s Cathedral, Part 2: Recreating “SECONDS OUT”, Mysterious Antique Music Box: The Musical Box, Foxtrot: Supper’s Ready, Knight of the Moonlight: Firth Of Fifth/I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)/The Cinema Show/Aisle Of Plenty, Dazzling Broadway: The Carpet Crawlers/The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Trick of the Tale: Squonk/Robbery, Assault & Battery/Dance on a Volcano/Los Endos, Storm of Silence: Afterglow… and so on. Basically, the main focus is on reproducing the entire second part of “SECONDS OUT”, and although the solo section is in the first part, it is treated as a prelude. The time balance is not half and half (naturally), with the first part being about 35 minutes (first half of CD1), while the second part is about 1 hour and 52 minutes (second half of CD1 + all of CD2). Even so, it is truly wonderful. The original GENESIS has finally gone to sleep, and Peter Gabriel has not toured for six years and has no plans for the future. In 2022, the “only real one” who will continue to sing the masterpieces of progressive rock history. That is Hackett now, and the music packed into this work. Nad Sylvain, who seems to have been born to sing GENESIS songs, is still as wonderful as ever, and his singing voice after 10 years of experience in the GENESIS REVISITED project is more authentic than anyone else in the world. He is now the GENESIS version of John Davison. This work is a live album that allows you to enjoy such a latest full show with a world-class virtuoso sound that can be called “modern mirrored”. It goes without saying that it is perfect for preparation, but it is a two-disc set that shines even more. A superb audience recording of the “April 7, 2022 Collingswood performance”. The latest work by the highly acclaimed recording artist “Tapehead2”, who is a modern virtuoso, has an on-direct feeling, fine details, and a lustrous thickness that is at the official work level. It is a prog blissful music work that allows you to experience the latest full show composed of “Part 1 = solo song (about 35 minutes) / Part 2 = SECONDS OUT reproduction (about 1 hour 52 minutes)”.
