Description

Steve Hackett’s latest visit to Japan, where his reproduction of the masterpieces “Moonlight Knight” and “Seconds Out” has been very well received, has arrived. Following the first report the other day, further superb original recordings have arrived. Two works will be released simultaneously! This work is recorded at the “July 9, 2022: Club Citta Kawasaki” performance. This is a superb audience recording that vacuum-packs the whole story. The first report of “KAWASAKI 2022 1ST NIGHT” was well received the other day, and this week this work and “KAWASAKI 2022 FINAL NIGHT” will be released simultaneously. There will be a total of three works, but what position will each one occupy in this visit to Japan? Let’s apply it to the schedule. ・July 8th “KAWASAKI 2022 1ST NIGHT” ・July 9th: Club Citta Kawasaki ←★This work★ ・July 10th “KAWASAKI 2022 FINAL NIGHT” All three performances. This is all for this visit to Japan, and the consecutive releases last week and this week are complete. This work is the middle part of a trilogy, but in terms of sound, it is the best masterpiece. This is the latest work in a long time by Mr. “West Japan’s Strongest Taper”, who is familiar to us at our store, and the skill and sense of the master, who is always praised as “like a sound board” and “better sound than heard on site”, are still alive and well in 2022 after the COVID-19 pandemic. The core of the bone approaches without a sense of distance, and the details are super clear even in the fine parts. There is a vivid clapping at the beginning, so it is not mistaken for a sound board, but it stops soon, and when it is just the performance, it feels like a sound board. It is beautifully captured from the high notes that extend well to the deep bass that feels the vibration of the floor, but the vocals are especially wonderful. Nad Sylvain’s singing voice stands out clearly and clearly, and even when the thick keyboard and chorus work overlap, they never mix. Although the three trilogy are wonderful recordings in their own way, the vividness of this vocal is unique to this work. In particular, since the keywords for this visit to Japan are “Moonlight Knight” and “Seconds Out,” the subtlety of Nad’s vocals, reminiscent of Peter Gabriel/Phil Collins, is particularly important. Among all the masterpieces, this is the biggest factor that makes you want to take a step back and recommend this work as the “best masterpiece.” Such a high-est sound depicts a full show that is “a partial reproduction of Seconds Out + a complete reproduction of Moonlight Knight.” The structure of the show was also mentioned in the commentary of the previous work “KAWASAKI 2022 1ST NIGHT,” but let’s organize it again for those who missed it. Part 1 (DISC 1) Seconds Out (side A): Squonk / The Carpet Crawlers / Robbery, Assault & Battery / Afterglow Seconds Out (sides B/C): The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway / The Musical Box / Supper’s Ready Part 2 (DISC 2) Moonlight Knight (all songs) Encore (DISC 3) Seconds Out (side D): Dance on a Volcano / Los Endos (incl. Slogans) … and so on. The show is divided into two parts: “Part 1 = Seconds Out without Moonlight” and “Part 2 = Moonlight Knight”. When they came to Japan, they also advertised a “complete reproduction of Seconds Out”, but there are numbers from “Moonlight Knight” in “Seconds Out”, so if they really wanted to reproduce it completely, they would have to play some songs twice. The first part of this time was a modified reproduction that avoided that. And instead? The encore after the second part is again “Seconds Out” specification. In other words, it is also an “extended version of Seconds Out” that includes the entire “Moonlight Knight”. The dreaded new corona pandemic has also been whispered about to hit the seventh wave, and the rush to Japan that has begun to rise is in danger of being dampened. Will Steve Hackett’s visit to Japan this time be a signal for the revival of the Western music scene, or is it just a sunny day in the rainy season in Japan, which is plagued by the plague? I don’t know yet, but this work will be passed down as a symbol of that. This is a masterpiece that you can be sure of. This sound source is the best on the 2022 Japan tour. The best audience recording of the performance at “Club Citta Kawasaki on July 9, 2022”. This is the latest work by “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper” for the first time in a long time, and it is amazing to go “like a sound board”. It captures everything from the high notes that extend well to the deep bass that makes the floor vibrate, and the vocals in particular stand out clearly and clearly, and even when the thick keyboards and chorus work overlap, they never mix. You can enjoy the full show, which will be the “Extended Seconds Out” with the sound that will be the best of the three live albums from this visit to Japan.
