Steve Gadd, once a rising star in the jazz music world, has also become known in the rock world, including Eric Clapton. This is a live recording of Gadd’s own band. Michael Landau’s brilliantly distorted guitar, Larry Golding’s electric piano, and the addition of trumpet create a wonderful, funky, jazzy sound. Gadd’s drumming seems to have become a little more rock-infused compared to his older days, but his sound remains as solid as ever.
