Description
Following the legendary LIVE AID, British heavyweight STATUS QUO also shared the stage with QUEEN at Knebworth Park. The best live album is now available. What is included in this work is “Knebworth performance on August 9, 1986”, which was also the last day of QUEEN. They are also known for being the opening act for “MAGIC TOUR 1986”, but they actually accompanied them for only 5 performances in their home country of England. On this day, he served as the opening act for QUEEN, who made a comeback with Belly Sam and BIG COUNTRY. This work, which records such a show, is the ultimate audience recording. This week, QUEEN’s historical masterpiece “DEFINITIVE KNEBWORTH 1986″ will appear, but this work is actually its sister work. It was also made by the master craftsman “Crazy S.” and was recorded continuously at the same venue. And, like the QUEEN edition, this work is also digitized from the original cassette owned by “Crazy S.”. The opening scene, which felt like tape distortion in the previous release, has been brought back to life in this playback. It is a masterpiece that has been upgraded with a miraculous recording. In fact, the sound is similar to the QUEEN edition, which was acclaimed as “one of the top five recordings for all audiences.” Clearness with zero echo that makes full use of the taste of the outdoors, a direct feeling that seems to be close to a PA, detailed details comparable to a sound board…all of them are worthy of being called sister editions. However, it is not the entire story. In fact, in “Whatever You Want” there is a momentary noise, and even after that, you can feel (slightly) a chatter on the verge of overpeak and a sound wavering as if testing the direction of the microphone. However, that is until the third song “Roll Over Lay Down”. From there, a miraculous balance is achieved, and the super-excellent sound continues without stagnation until the end. Perhaps “Crazy S.” was trying out various things to prepare for the QUEEN stage. And it was the third song of this work that decided the position and direction that “This is it!”… You can feel the reality of such recording. What I don’t want you to misunderstand here is that it is by no means a “bad recording halfway through” (in that case, we will not press it). The first three songs are at a level that even a bunch of average guest records can’t compete with. However, the miracle sound from the 4th song onwards is just too ironclad and beautiful. And what is depicted with a sound that has transformed to a miraculous level is a boogie paradise that captivates Britain. The set is centered around the masterpiece “PILEDRIVER” but has nothing from the 80’s. Thoroughly pushing the golden 70’s repertoire on a large scale, “Rockin’ All Over The World”, “Don’t Waste My Time” and “Caroline”, which caused miracles at LIVE AID, will also be played firmly. Yes, I can’t help but remember LIVE AID from this passionate performance. STATUS QUO appeared as the first at Wembley Stadium and put on a miraculous show and became a legend alongside QUEEN, but the internal circumstances were actually similar. Although QUEEN persevered despite rumors of dissolution, friction within the band forced them to change members, and they finally ceased their activities with 1984’s “BACK TO BACK.” Their only activity in 1985 was LIVE AID, where they made a miraculous comeback. With LIVE AID, they regained their will to resume their activities and began a large-scale European tour in 1986, rushing toward their comeback album “IN THE ARMY NOW”. The boogie of this work is packed with plenty of such enthusiasm, and the audience in his home country welcomed it with joy. I especially recommend you to experience “Rockin’ All Over The World”. It is a famous song that became the opening scene of LIVE AID, and the audience on that day definitely remembers that impression. A beautiful and grand chorus breaks out, and the soundboard-level sound of the performance roars through the thick chorus. Including this song, several songs are drawn with a transcendental sound that surpasses even the QUEEN version. QUEEN’s matrix album “DEFINITIVE LIVE AID (Wardour-316)” released the other day has become a big hit, but this work depicts a spectacle equivalent to that super masterpiece despite the audience being 100%. The band has made a comeback and the huge crowd is filled with joy. It is a show that continues to burn for more than an hour while reviving the enthusiasm of LIVE AID. Knebworth is where QUEEN and STATUS QUO, two of LIVE AID’s greatest legends, met again after making a miraculous comeback. The sister work STATUS QUO recorded the passionate performance with the best sound. It is a miraculous music album that serves as a supplementary subtext to QUEEN’s last show, but more than that, it is overwhelmed by the passionate performance of their comeback.
