This DVD features a live performance by Stanley Clarke, who took the world by storm with his participation in Return to Forever in the 70s and School Days, from his 2016 European tour to his November concert in Leverkusen, Germany, in amazing high definition. Stanley’s playing style is characterized by his fast playing using the two-finger technique. His speed is so fast that it’s hard to believe he’s a bass player, and when he played with guitarist Jeff Beck, there were rumors that Stanley was faster than Jeff. On the other hand, his use of notes is simple, and phrases centered around the pentatonic scale are often used. Another characteristic of Stanley’s fast playing phrases is that many of his phrases repeat short sounds of about 4 to 6 notes.
