The strongest “old man power” funky jazz groove “Soul Survivors” The members of this live were Cornell Dupree on guitar, Les McCann (vocals, keyboards), Gordon Edwards (bass), Buddy Williams ( drums) and baritone saxophone world boss Ronnie Cuba (saxophone). It’s a pity that Bernard Purdy isn’t the drummer, but Dupree still plays the guitar in octaves and gives us a bittersweet guitar, and Buddy’s drums aren’t harsh by any means, but they fit their sound perfectly.
