The band, centered around former WHITESNAKE members Mickey Moody and Neil Murray, is made up of band members who dominated the pretish hard rock scene, such as WHITESNAKE, WISHBONE ASH, THUNDER, and HEARTLAND, and is called “SNAKECHARMER”. Their debut album, released in early 2013, featured catchy blues rock that condensed the traditions of British rock, but what fans were more interested in was their live performance, in which they played plenty of WHITESNAKE’s famous songs. And from the much-talked-about UK tour starting in 2014, the Milton Keynes performance on January 26th was recorded in full by High Quality Audience Master. This hot live performance is reproduced with the realism of a soundboard-level performance and exquisite realism, and the members, other than Mickey Moody and Neil Murray, are HEARTLAND’s Chris Woosey on vocals and former THUNDER’s Harry James on drums. Adam Wakeman, son of Rick Wakeman, participated on keyboards, and ex-WISHBONE ASH member Rory Wisefield also made an unexpected appearance. The concert kicked off with two songs from the debut album, with Rory’s melodic playing on “Guilty As Charged” and Mickey and Neil’s groovy playing on “A Little Rock ‘n’ Roll.” Rory’s guitar phrases were also superb on the catchy “Accident Prone” and the tearful “Falling Leaves,” and Chris Uzi showed off his orthodox singing skills, reminiscent of Paul Rodgers, with his soulful singing voice and diverse intonations. The highlight of the middle part of the concert, “Slow An’ Easy,” begins with Adam’s intro, and Chris’ husky, powerful vocals accelerate even further with the three new songs that follow. Be sure to check out “My Angel”, “Cover Me In You”, and “Nothing To Lose”, where Mickey’s blues feeling and Rory’s delicate sense blend together in an exquisite unity. Adam’s organ, reminiscent of Jon Lord, is followed by “Here I Go Again”, where Chris sings with all his heart, and the last song, “Fool For Your Loving”, which gets the crowd excited and ends the show.
