Description
The Quadraphonic Sound, which appeared in the early 1970s, is a four-channel mix that adds two rear speakers to two-channel stereo for a three-dimensional sound. It was discontinued in the late 1970s due to the proliferation of formats, lack of compatible software, and the oil crisis. This release is a two-channel mix of the four channels. It is not possible to reproduce the three-dimensional sound of the time, but because there is a two-channel sound source added for the rear speakers, the overall sound and texture are often different. Some of them are re-recorded for The Quad Mix and are different versions. If you can verify with your ears how Small Talk is different from the regular one, you will surely make new discoveries. Bonus: an alternate take of Que Sera Sera, this is not The Quad Mix. Small Talk (3:17) Say You Will (3:15) Mother Beautiful (1:56) Time For Livin’ (4:00) Can’t Strain My Brain (3:44) Loose Booty (3:49) Holdin’ On (3:40) Wishful Thinkin’ (4:29) Better Thee Than Me (3:40) Livin’ While I’m Livin’ (2:58) This Is Love (3:03) Bonus Track Que Sera Sera (Alternate Take) (5:06)
