Description
Any fan would agree that Sly’s music is comprised of this masterpiece released in the mid-’70s, from “Riot” to “FRESH!”, and “Small Talk”, the final flash of genius resulting in an introspective, peaceful and beautiful sound. Until now, live recordings from this period, which summarizes Sly’s golden age, have not been blessed with both quality and quantity, but this title, released by “JAMREC MUSIC”, is a long-awaited soundboard recording of the stage in Kansas on November 9, 1974, with superb sound quality. The only drawback is that the balance is a little poor and the vocal mix is a little small, but instead the bottom sound of the drums and bass and the horns are featured, and you should be able to fully enjoy the charm of Sly’s live performance, which is different from the official version. 01.Thank You (For Lettin’ Me Be Myself) / 02.M’Lady / 03.Band Intro. / 04.Family Affair / 05.Don’t Call Me Nigger, Whitey / 06.Sing A Simple Song / 07.If You Want Me To Stay / 08.Stand! / 09.Dance To The Music~Music Lover / 10.Time For Livin’ / 11.Loose Boot y / 12.I Want To Take You Higher -Recorded Live at Hoch Auditorium,Lawrence,Kansas,USA 9th November 1974-
