SLAYER has been the king of extreme metal for over 35 years. Their latest, superb stereo soundboard album is here. They released “Repentless” in 2015, overcoming the death of Jeff Hanneman, and participated in LOUD PARK15, but they have continued their “REPENTLESS WORLD TOUR” ever since. Last year, they took a break with the North American leg until October, but in 2017 they are moving forward for the summer festival season. First, let’s check out the tour schedule of SLAYER, who is still going strong this year. ・April 28th – May 13th: South America (7 shows) ←★Here★ ・June 1st – 26th: Europe (16 shows) ・July 12th – August 20th: North America (26 shows) These are the dates announced so far. This work contains the fourth performance of the “South American” leg, “May 6, 2017: Buenos Aires Performance”, which marks the start of the tour that resumed after six months. It is a scene from the appearance at the metal festival “MAXIMUS FESTIVAL 2017” that spanned Brazil and Argentina. Although it was just a show, this show was also broadcast on local television. Although it was also circulated in multi-camera professional shots, the image quality and sound quality were not so good. This work contains a high-quality version that was broadcast on FM separately. In fact, the quality of this work is “almost” official class. “Almost” means that this is also not so good… In fact, it is a rough sound board that is typical of South America, but it is directly connected to the table and is very raw. Of course, depending on the band, it could be a drawback, but the main character of this work is SLAYER. They are the most aggressive perfectors of the time, so they are ferociously radical and intensely skilled. The vividness of the sound is a virtue, not a drawback. You can fully enjoy the feeling of immersion, as if you had shoe plugs stuck in your ears, and the pleasure of SLAYER going wild in your brain. The show, which explodes with that quality, vividly brings back memories of their performance in Japan two years ago. Our shop delivers the best recording from that time on the CD “REPENTLESS IN OSAKA,” but while that was a full set of a solo performance, this work is a set for a festival appearance. Although it is a little short, the aggression that is condensed into a special concentration is tremendous. The set is roughly the same, but what stands out is “Fight Till Death,” which was not heard at the Japan performance! Of course, it is a masterpiece from the revolutionary album “SHOW NO MERCY.” It is not a super rare song, as it is occasionally included in the set in recent years, but it is not played in Japan. It is not included in the live album to be released. The coolness of the explosion of the scent of NWOBHM that was only present in the “primitive thrash period”. You can hear it on the finest stereo sound board. In the spring of 2017, two of the four kings of thrash, MEGADETH and ANTHRAX, came to Japan together. There is no sign of the dream of “THE BIG 4 in JAPAN” coming true, but I would like to experience the four strongest at least at once, even if it is just bootlegs.
