Description
Slash, who came to Japan for the first time in five years in 2024, performed two consecutive days in Tokyo from his solo Japan tour. The second and final day of the live performance at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on March 4th and 5th was recorded in full using a multi-stereo IEM matrix, and a Blu-ray with live footage from that day was also included. First, the stereo IEM sources that each member used on stage, each with a different mix balance, were mixed in an exquisite balance to create a multi-IEM matrix source without any clicks or guides, and the digital audience source was mixed in an exquisite combination to faithfully reproduce the day’s scene with a quality comparable to that of a stereo sound board. The video footage taken with a digital camera realistically reproduces the day’s scene with stable, high-quality quality, and the audio part is synchronized with the multi-IEM matrix source of the CD. And above all, taking advantage of the large capacity of Blu-ray, the original HD quality video material is recorded without compression, and the quality, including the audio part, is a world apart from fragmented videos on YouTube and the like. The set was centered around seven songs from “4” released in 2022, with songs selected evenly from each album, plus “Always On The Run” with Lenny Kravitz and Elton John’s cover “Rocket Man,” which have been performed overseas but are being shown for the first time in Japan. Perhaps because they were consecutive performances at the same hall, the sets changed on these two days, with “Ghost,” “Shadow Life,” and “Don’t Damn Me” on the first day. On the second day, “Too Far Gone,” “Mind Your Manners,” and “Bad Apples” were set in with those replacements, and “Bad Apples,” which was played in Osaka and drew surprised voices, was a super rare number that Guns only played twice at the time of the release of “USE YOUR ILLUSION I,” and was performed again on the final day. In addition, “Don’t Damn Me” is a number that has hardly been played even at the original, so a live take from the first day’s performance was added as a bonus to this title. This is a Japan-exclusive memorial item that allows you to fully enjoy the final performance in Japan, including such surprises, through sound and video.
