Description
Slade has a long history, having been formed in the UK in 1966. Like Jimi Hendrix, they were discovered by Chas Chandler of The Animals, so their talent must have been outstanding. Initially, they played psychedelic rock with a late 60s vibe, but in the 70s they switched to glam rock to fit the times. As you can see from the photos, the reason for Slade’s success was that each member wore a unique fashion style without any sense of unity, and they established the power pop style that was later inherited by Cheap Trick and others. This album is a complete recording of Slade’s only performance in Japan in 1974, the Nakano Sun Plaza performance on March 13th, with the first appearance of the sound source. Before the show started, the MC repeatedly warned the audience not to stand on the chairs, so you can see that the venue was already filled with an unusual heat. Concerned about the excessive excitement of the audience, the band stopped the concert, and the scene where they warned the front row audience is vividly recorded. The tape used this time is a completely new sound source provided by Taper himself, which has never been released before. The latest in the Original Taper’s Japan performance series is a complete recording of Slade’s March 13, 1974 Nakano Sun Plaza performance, starting with the pre-show announcement.
