A rare recording of a live performance held at an outdoor amphitheater in California in June 1986, just after the release of the seventh album “Tinderbox”, has been released! A rare recording of a live performance held at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity of about 16,000 people located in Irvine, California, on June 14, 1986, just after the release of the famous seventh album “Tinderbox”, has been released with a good stereo audience recording! It has been digitally transferred directly from the cassette master, and although the stereo separation is narrow, the vocals are clear and loud, and each part is very well balanced, and it is recorded with a clear sound quality that is unique to outdoors. The set list featured six songs from their then new album, “Tinderbox,” which reached no. 13 on the UK album charts, including the singles “Cities In Dust” and “Candyman,” which were released prior to the album. It’s a shame that a few seconds of the intro to “Melt!” are missing due to a tape change, and several songs are missing in the latter half of the album. However, just like the album, new guitarist John Valentine Carruthers, who joined the band the previous year, is skilled at guitar and keyboard, and the band sound is intertwined with Budgie’s tight drums and Steve’s ground-crawling bass lines, and Suzie’s vocals resonate emotionally. You can enjoy this one-of-a-kind, superb live performance in good sound quality!
