Description

Sheryl Crow in 1999, where new discoveries of shocking soundboards are occurring one after another. A three-disc set of superb rehearsal albums featuring Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Stevie Nicks, and Sarah McLachlan is now available. This work was recorded at “S.I.R. Studio in September 1999”. This is a superb stereo soundboard recording that vacuum-packs the rehearsals that took place there. Actually, the exact date of this rehearsal is unknown. However, from the content and location, it seems to be a rehearsal for the New York City performance, which is left as the official live album “LIVE FROM CENTRAL PARK”. Speaking of “Central Park 99 Rehearsal”, the dress rehearsal of the day before the actual performance (September 13th) has already been leaked, but this work is completely different. Unlike the previous release, which was contained on 2 CDs. This work is a super long master of 3 hours 6 minutes 19 seconds (completely silent parts are omitted for ease of listening, but it is still over 3 hours). It is certain that the recording time alone is the first appearance master, but beyond that, the songs being rehearsed and the number of takes are completely different. This work is recorded according to the original master without any particular editing, but coincidentally the guests are different on each of the three discs. Let’s briefly organize the structure of this work here. DISC 1 [Sarah McLachlan] ・Sarah McLachlan: The Difficult Kind (4 takes) / Angel (4 takes) ・Sheryl Crow: White Room (3 takes) / Happy (3 takes) DISC 2 [Keith Richards / Eric・Clapton] ・Keith Richards/Sheryl Crow: Sweet Little Rock n’ Roller (2 takes) ・Keith Richards: Happy (2 takes)/Tombstone Blues (1 take) ・Eric Clapton: The Difficult Kind (2 takes) ) / Little Wing (1 take) DISC 3 [Stevie Nicks] Stevie Nicks: Gold Dust Woman (9 takes) / Strong Enough (2 takes) Stevie Nicks / Sarah McLachlan: The Difficult Kind (1 take) …and it looks like this. If you have the previously released dress rehearsal sound source, you can easily compare the songs. In the previous releases, the co-starring with Keith and Clapton was two takes each, but in this work, Keith has three songs and five takes, and Clapton has two songs and three takes. In particular, Clapton also participated (!) in “The Difficult Kind,” which he did not perform with in the actual performance. Stevie Nicks is even more intense. In the previous rehearsal, there was only one take of “Gold Dust Woman”, but in this work there are plenty of 12 takes. He also appeared in “Strong Enough” and “The Difficult Kind,” which he did not participate in the actual performance. In particular, the latter is a super valuable take co-starring Sarah McLachlan. I wanted to emphasize that “it’s different from the previous releases,” so I ended up talking only about the songs included, but the sounds are very similar. I think those who have experienced the previously released dress rehearsal were shocked by the transcendent table-connected sound board, but this work can be said to be a sequel to that. It is a DAT master recorded directly from the on-site mix table, but the quality is completely official. Of course, the mix is rough, and (although most of it is complete) you can hear practice takes and conversations between guests and Sheryl (!). Although the content is unbelievable as an official release, the audio sound quality is no different from the official work. Sheryl Crow is currently becoming a hot topic due to her continuous discovery of super masterpiece soundboards. Among the amazing collection group, this is a masterpiece of a rehearsal album that is attracting attention for its preciousness, luxurious guest, and huge volume. In terms of completeness as a musical work, the complete version of the actual stage “LIVE FROM CENTRAL PARK 1999 COMPLETE” which will be released at the same time will be preferred, but that is not the greatness of this work. It’s interesting to look into the scene where Gorgeous Men and Sheryl are present, and there are many performances that you will hear for the first time. You can immerse yourself in that impact for 3 hours with the highest quality sound board you can think of. The content is completely different from the previous 2CDs. The first super stereo soundboard with a recording time of over 3 hours! ! (A must-listen for fans of Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Nicks) Rehearsals at S.I.R.
