Description

This work includes “Nashville performance on July 25, 1999”. It is a transcendental stereo sound board recording. Speaking of the 1999 live, it is also left on the official edition “LIVE FROM CENTRAL PARK”. Let’s check the positions from the schedule at that time, including those. ・February 2nd – 18th: Europe #1 (12 performances) ・February 24th: 41st Grammy Awards ・March 13th – May 9th: North America #1 (42 performances) ・June 4th -12th: Europe #2 (6 performances) ・June 27th – September 2nd: North America #2 (42 performances) ←★Here★ ・September 14th: New York performance← *Official “LIVE FROM CENTRAL PARK”・October 7th + 9th: North America #3 (2 performances) ・October 12th-20th: Japan (7 performances) ・October 30th + 31st: BRIDGE SCHOOL BENEFIT This is Sheryl Crow in 1999. The album “THE GLOBE SESSIONS” was released in the fall of 1998, but the tour did not start until 1999. This Nashville performance is the 17th performance of “North America #2”, which is about two months before the official “LIVE FROM CENTRAL PARK”. Cheryl also appeared at “WOODSTOCK ’99”, but it was also a concert two days later. This work recorded at such a show is also a superb stereo sound board. This is a DAT master recorded directly from the on-site mix table, and the sound is unprocessed and the core is exposed. The contours of Sheryl’s singing voice and each instrument reverberate vividly in my head. Having said that, although the sound of the instrument is still the same, this work also has an even more “gloss” to it. Perhaps that sound happened to be due to the equipment at the venue, but it still has the full flavor of a direct sound board, and it also has the neat beauty of an official work. What is drawn with that beautiful sound is a full show that is different from the Japanese performance. In fact, this day is a festival format with more than 10 artists performing at the same venue. Therefore, Cheryl’s running time was also short at about 54 minutes. Let’s organize the contents here. Sheryl Crow (3 songs)・A Change Would Do You Good/Everyday Is a Winding Road/If It Makes You Happy Grove Sessions (6 songs)・My Favorite Mistake/Anything but Down/It Don’t Hurt/The Difficult Kind/Mississippi/There Goes The Neighborhood Others・Juanita (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be listened to. …and it looks like this. A cover of THE FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS’ “Juanita” was also performed there. This song was also featured on the Gram Parsons tribute album “RETURN OF THE GRIEVOUS ANGEL” released in 1999. To be more specific, “Anything but Down” and “Mississippi” are songs that cannot be heard even on the official version “LIVE FROM CENTRAL PARK.” Also, the guest participation is different from the Japanese performance. Ashwin Sood appears in “Everyday Is a Winding Road”, Cheryl’s sister Kathy in “The Difficult Kind”, and Emmylou Harris appears in “Juanita”, adding color to the stage. Although the audio quality is official level, it is a superb soundboard with a vivid direct-to-the-desk sound that is impossible to find on the official version.
