Description
We have prepared a video collection where you can witness the historic stage immediately after Sid Vicious joined in the highest quality. There are three types of footage included in this work: “June 7th London performance”, “July 28th Stockholm performance”, and “December 11th Marsbrey performance”. This is a multi-camera pro shot featuring each show. Now, let’s introduce each one individually. [London performance on June 7, 1977] The first thing to appear is a live performance on a boat, which is also famous as an “arrest show.” On the day of the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s reign, they held a guerrilla concert on a boat on the River Thames. This is the documentary film. The first show after Sid joined was “April 3rd”, and there were no live shows for two months after that. This shipboard gig was the second performance. At that time, “Katte Shiyagare!!” had not yet been released, and it had only been ten days since the release of the second single “God Save The Queen”. You can enjoy the mood of that time with images that can be described in more than 100 words. Since this is a 13-minute film that only reports on guerrilla live performances, there are plenty of scenes of the audience and members enjoying the cruise on board, as well as the pure stage. In fact, this video has an exquisite sense of the time when it makes you feel angry. Johnny Rotten went wild despite the small stage on board the ship, and the other members were unable to move as they played intense punk rock music. Sid, who is in his second performance, still seems to be in his infancy. Then, a police patrol boat approaches the heated moving venue, and the boat that is docked begins to carry out enforcement actions. Although the problematic “God Save The Queen” does not appear, you can witness the legendary guerilla live with plenty of sense of the times. [Stockholm performance on July 28, 1977] The second video is a superb video that allows you to enjoy a normal stage concert. This is a multi-camera professional shot of the final day of the “Nordic” tour. This is the live video version that was also included on the bonus disc of the remastered version “Katte Shiyagare!!”. Unlike the Halmstad performance, it is a normal concert hall, but that is why the true spirit of the time is vividly conveyed. Johnny, who glares at the Scandinavian people who are surprised and delighted by the shocking sound, and Sid, who finally shows off his charismatic appearance, are terrifyingly cool. Unlike the official CD, it is 6 songs and about 20 minutes long, but it is still enough to understand how sharp the Pistols were at that time. “No Fun” is also delicious. [December 11, 1977 Mars Bray Performance] The above two types were film footage, but the last one was a professional shot of the TV broadcast. It was the last day of the “Netherlands” tour, which was held immediately after the release of “Katte Shiyagare!!”. This show is broadcast on the local TV program “VARA’S WONDERLAND” and has become one of the standard shows, but its quality is excellent. Although the image quality is a little lower than the film footage above, the clarity is outstanding and there is no white line noise or tape distortion. The video depicts a show from 1977 that became tighter over time, but never lost its sharpness. Although it doesn’t have the feel of a professional shot because it is a one-camera shot from the back of the stage, the on-site perspective is wonderful and the sound is also the best on the sound board. Also includes an interview with the creator Malcolm McLaren. The Pistols’ every move was sensational, and each performance was an incident. This is a superb video collection that allows you to witness the year they ran through in 1977.
