This is a live soundboard recording from March 22, 1971 at the Forum, before the release of their third album, Santana III, after the band gained attention at Woodstock and reached number one on the charts. This is a live performance with Neal Schon in a twin guitar arrangement, so it’s a must-see for fans of the band who would later go on to form Journey (Gregg Rolie from Journey is also there), but the sound of the early members, full of energy, is different from their later mature performances, and is irresistibly aggressive.
