The highest ever master of the ultimate sound board sound source, said to be the only one on “POWER WINDOWS TOUR”, has been brushed up. It is now available on 2CD. [Ultimate soundboard master leaked by related parties] The ultimate master was recorded at “Philadelphia performance on April 16, 1986”. It is the super best stereo sound board recording. It has always been a classic soundboard that has been called “POWER WINDOWS TOUR!”, but this work is completely different from the previous ones. It has been digitized directly from the master leaked by the people involved at the time, and it is truly a supreme board of “nothing better” quality. The biggest point of this work is its tremendous quality, but first of all it is the show position. This tour is also left as part of the official edition “A SHOW OF HANDS”, so let’s take a look at the relationship from the schedule at the time. 1985, March 11-15: Warm-up (4 performances)《“POWER WINDOWS” released on October 14》》December 4-19: North America #1 (11 performances) 1986, January 9 Sunday – 19th: North America #2 (8 performances), January 30th – February 14th: North America #3 (10 performances), February 27th – March 7th: North America #4 (6 performances), 3 April 20th – April 4th: North America #5 (11 performances) ← *Official version ・April 13th – May 2nd: North America #6 (14 performances) ←★Coco★・May 12th – 26th : North America #7 (8 performances) This is RUSH in 1985/1986. As usual (?), we raced around North America, the main battlefield, without paying attention to other countries. We toured around the United States and Canada at our own pace, touring for about 2-3 weeks and taking about 10 days off. “A SHOW OF HANDS” was adopted from the East Rutherford performance of “North America #5”, but the Philadelphia performance of this work was the third concert of “North America #6” about two weeks later. . As mentioned earlier, such a show has been known as a standard sound board, but this work updates its highest peak. After all, the master is the Ultimate Gene cassette that was recorded directly from the mix desk by those involved. The beginning part is recorded about 15 seconds longer than the previous group, but that is just a proof of the original master. The real shock is the sound itself that permeates through the whole story. The most overwhelming thing is the natural freshness. Even the ones that have been said to be the best in the existing group have damage and hiss noise on the tape, which is reduced and compensated with compression. It was like they were competing for superiority with their equalizing sense. As a result, I was left with either a disappointing master that caused damage to my ears, or a very artificial sound that made my ears tired. However, the related master, which first appeared in 2008 as “POWER RUN: PHILADELPHIA 1986″, shows no such deterioration at all. There are no dubbing marks or tape twists at all, and the hiss is at a level that you can only notice by listening microscopically with headphones on. A specialist magazine at the time said, “The natural sound quality and relatively low hiss clearly show the youth of the source.” “In any case, the sound is a significant upgrade from the previous releases, and is a complete definitive edition. All RUSH It received enthusiastic praise, with comments such as “A must-have audio source for fans” and “This is the perfect bootleg for the first time in a while.” [The highest peak updated version that further refines the ultimate master] Of course, maniacs all over the world are in an uproar due to the shocking quality. “POWER RUN: PHILADELPHIA 1986” quickly sold out and went out of print. This work is a refinement of the legendary masters involved with the latest mastering. It is a live album that realized “nothing more than this”, which was originally supposed to be “nothing more”. Of course, if you process the precious natural sound, it will be useless. Instead, we investigated the slight noises and gaps that may have occurred during recording, and improved the perfection of the musical work. There are a lot of things, but I’d like to point out three points that are easy to understand: First of all, the opening song, “The Spirit of Radio.” There was no problem here in normal dimensions, but upon closer inspection, the recording volume had changed slightly. This is due to the way the on-site engineer turned the knobs, so I can’t say it’s a drawback, but I can’t say it’s faithful to the original performance either. In this work, we emphasize and unify the golden latitude as a musical work. The second one is the middle cut of “Red Sector A”. This was the same for the existing group, but because the original was a 90-minute cassette, about 20 seconds were not recorded at the change timing. Therefore, this work is supplemented from the finest sound board “HAWAIIAN UNDER PRESSURE 1984 (Cygnus 016/017)”. Although it is not strictly the same performance, we have made it possible to enjoy it seamlessly. And the third thing is the sudden noise that was included in only one place in the final drum solo. Although this is also the truth of the original master, we pursued the beauty of a live album by reducing it as much as possible. I’ve listed three points just to make it easier to understand, but I think these alone will help you understand the concept of this work. The show drawn with such the highest update quality is wonderful. It is inevitable that the final stages “Red Lenses”, “Tom Sawyer”, “2112”, “Grand Designs” and “In The Mood”, which were not originally recorded, are not included, but there is still plenty of repertoire unique to “POWER WINDOWS TOUR”. Let’s organize the contents here.・A FAREWELL TO KINGS: Closer to the Heart ・HEMISPHERES: The Trees (★) ・PERMANENT WAVES: The Spirit of Radio (★) ・MOVING PICTURES: Limelight (★) / Witch Hunt / YYZ (★) ・SIGNALS: New World Man (★) / Subdivisions・GRACE UNDER PRESSURE: Red Sector A / Distant Early Warning・POWER WINDOWS: The Big Money / Manhattan Project / Middletown Dreams (★) / Marathon / Mystic Rhythms / Territories (★) *Note: “★” The marked songs are songs that cannot be heard even in “A SHOW OF HANDS”. …and it looks like this. Although it is a shame that there is no ending, there are plenty of 80’s numbers typical of this period. As mentioned earlier, part of “A SHOW OF HANDS” was recorded on the “POWER WINDOWS TOUR”, but there were 7 unheard repertoires performed there, and “Middletown Dreams” was sealed for more than 10 years. You can enjoy songs like 80’s with their potential. [Another peak “POWER WINDOWS” demo] The main sound board alone is a cultural heritage, but it is so amazing that it is hard to feel sorry that it ends in the middle of the show. Therefore, we have added an even more delicious bonus soundboard to this work. That is the studio’s “POWER WINDOWS” demo. Currently, a version with unstable tape speed and cuts is also circulating on the internet, but this work is a different best master. Some of the previously released songs have been changed to the order of the songs in line with the completed version, but this work is as recorded on the demo master. And the contents are also surprisingly deep. This demo is at a relatively advanced stage of production, so you can enjoy it as music, but it’s also so rough that it can’t be compared to the finished version. There are no ornamental sounds such as keyboards or effects included, and on the contrary, the basic temporary composition of the song is revealed in detail. In the final version, the guitar is more emphasized than the powerful bass, and the riff is dynamic. Also, the arrangements themselves are completely different in “Manhattan Project”, “Middletown Dreams”, etc. A studio demo to the master source leaked by those involved, which is the ultimate form of the only sound board on tour. This work, which permanently preserves both of them with the highest updated quality, is truly the ultimate soundboard album of the “POWER WINDOWS” era. This is an extremely exquisite piece that you would want to place next to the official works.
