Description
This work was filmed at the “Uniondale performance on April 4, 1986.” The concert was the last day of “North America #5” according to the tour schedule in the main commentary, and 12 days before the Philadelphia performance. This is the audience shot. It is not a complete video because the opening “The Spirit Of Radio” and the encore last “In The Mood” are not available, but even so, “Red Lenses”, “Tom Sawyer”, “2112 Overture” which were not recorded on the main sound board ”, “Temples Of Syrinx” and “Grand Designs” are also plenty to enjoy. It is a video work that allows you to see plenty of valuable live performances from the mid-1980s for about 89 minutes. Of course, the length is not the only point of this work. The wide field of view is wonderful. The photo was taken from the second floor seat on Alex Lifeson’s side, and the front row’s arms and heads are completely missing. What’s even better is that it makes extensive use of zoom, allowing you to see the highlights of each member in close-up. You can also see Alex striding around the stage with ease, Geddy Lee, who was known as “the world’s busiest frontman” due to his use of synths, and Neil Peart, who has a nostalgic look unique to the 80s. Of course, since it was secretly shot with a large camera at the time, the screen may go black, but it is valuable to be able to see almost the entire live performance and stage directly without any projection objects. The sound is also great. Of course, it is on a different level from a CD with a direct-to-table sound board, but just like the spacious field of view, the sound played on the stage reaches straight, and the core of the musical sound is solid and thick. On top of that, you can fully enjoy the sense of realism and on-site feeling that was missing in the main soundboard album. And this “feeling of experience” is also a key point. RUSH seen from the best seats with a wide field of view and direct access to music. There are many ways to enjoy live recordings, but there are two main ways: “simulating a concert experience” and “watching a live performance.” Now that you’ve experienced the ultimate form of “watching live music” on a soundboard connected directly to a table, we’d like you to try a “simulated experience” that is as vivid as possible. This work is the best video for that purpose. What do you look for in a live recording and what moves you? It is a proposition that is different for each person, and changes depending on the band and item. This is a book where you can ask yourself this question and fully enjoy the “life of RUSH” that you will probably never have the opportunity to experience again.
