Two legendary recordings of the “MOVING PICTURES TOUR”, which reached its peak, will be released at the same time. The original cassette by that famous “Kinney” is newly discovered! [A miraculous new discovery of the prestigious Kinney’s original cassette] What was recorded in the new excavation master was “Long Beach performance on June 14, 1981.” This is the best audience recording. This week, the super masterpiece “ANAHEIM 1981 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN” by Mike Millard will also appear, but the Long Beach performance of this work is two days later and is the “next show”. Of course, it is a disgusting coincidence that the upgrade master of two consecutive performances will be discovered at the same time from completely unrelated Millard and Kinney. Anyway, let’s start with the show position. Let’s look back at 1981, when the multi-platinum masterpiece “MOVING PICTURES” was taking the world by storm. [“MOVING PICTURES” released on February 12th] ・February 20th – April 26th: North America #1 (42 performances) ・May 6th – July 5th: North America #2 (37 performances) ←★Here ★《”EXIT… STAGE LEFT” released on October 29th》 October 29th – November 29th: Europe (20 performances) December 1st – 22nd: North America #3 (15 performances) 1981 There were two tours, “MOVING PICTURES TOUR” and “EXIT… STAGE LEFT”, and the above is an overview of them. Although a European tour was held in the fall, 94 performances were held, all in North America. Of these, the Long Beach performance of this work was the 25th concert of “North America #2” (in other words, “ANAHEIM 1981 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN” released at the same time is the 24th performance). This work is a CD made directly from Kinney’s original cassette recorded at such a show. Of course, this cassette is the first appearance in the world, but in fact the recording itself is already known. It is a (significantly) upgraded version of the famous recording of the analog era’s masterpiece “TOM SAWYER” loved by old maniacs. [Great recording with significantly upgraded length and sound] The upgrade extends to both quality and quantity. I expected the sound to be good since it was an original cassette, but the recording time was also long. And it wasn’t at the level of the usual “cheers for XX seconds.” In fact, “TOM SAWYER (and its copy CD)” starts with the third song “Limelight”, but this work was recorded before the performance and was cut from the previous releases, “2112 ( You can also listen to “Overture / The Temples Of Syrinx” and “Freewill”! And this is amazing. Until now, it has been expected that it was cut because there was a mistake in recording, but there was no problem at all. There are no sound cuts, no noise, and the sound of pyro explosions doesn’t startle you. It’s true that there is a little bit of excitement at the beginning of the performance, but why they cut out such a delicious part and announced it… it’s a complete mystery (Maybe it just didn’t fit on the LP?). It was sunny and the full show was recorded, but not only the length was upgraded. The sound has also been significantly upgraded. It was a masterpiece that handed down the “MOVING PICTURES TOUR” from “TOM SAWYER”, but the freshness is different because of its origin. The individuality of the prestigious “Kinney” who pursues the clarity of audience recordings is alive in this work, and the sound is fresh and has no dubbing marks, and is beautiful from the peak of the drum hitting sound to the super weak sound of the synth. The bass punch, which felt weak in the previous generation, is also effective, and the wide stereo feeling created by them and the realistic experience of the scene are also exquisite. Up until now, the major staples of the “MOVING PICTURES TOUR” have been the Chicago performance (which you can enjoy in “DEFINITIVE CHICAGO 1981”) and the Anaheim performance (simultaneously released “ANAHEIM 1981 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN”), but this book… The works are also comparable. Although it does not match the above two works in terms of the direct feeling of the powerful core, it surpasses it in terms of the beauty of the neat sound. It is truly “the three greatest masterpieces of MOVING PICTURES TOUR”. Shocking anyway. “ANAHEIM 1981 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN”, which is a mirrored recording of the world, is also amazing, but I never expected that an original cassette that was as good as Kinney in Japan would be discovered at the same time. If you were asked to choose one, I would have to recommend “ANAHEIM 1981 MIKE MILLARD 1ST GEN” due to its recording history, but this work is far more impressive in terms of upgrade range and preciousness. It’s above. After all, the full show of this recording can only be heard in this work, no matter where you look in the world. A miraculous double series born from the “MOVING PICTURES TOUR” in which the three strongest people reached the peak of their glory.
