Description
This is an audience recording of their joint performance at the Cambridge Folk Festival on July 28, 1984. The three-dimensionality and separation of the musical tones are amazing, and it is an ideal sound image with natural freshness that allows you to trip realistically to the venue at that time. Of course, perfect treatments such as noise removal and pitch adjustment have been applied, resulting in the best sound! This Cambridge Folk Festival was the catalyst for the two of them to collaborate on “Whatever Happened To Jugula? (1985)” (Page also guest-starred on the 1973 album “Life Mask”). However, Harper and Page are exquisitely intertwined, creating a special atmosphere that only the two of them can express! The Afternoon set on disc 1 features an electric folk sound that cannot be simply described as folk, and the unique psychedelic ensemble is full of highlights. Page’s excellent obbligatos on songs such as Elizabeth and Advertisment, which will be included on “Whatever Happened To Jugula?”, are truly spine-chilling. Of particular note is Tony Franklin, who would later form The Firm with Page and Paul Rodgers, and Steve Broughton of the Edgar Broughton Band, who performed original and wonderful rhythm work, adding a wonderful touch to Harper’s unique melodies and chord work. The Evening set on disc 2 is a wonderful set that allows you to experience the acoustic world of Harper and Zeppelin in a real way, and you can enjoy Page’s excellent playing and Harper’s unique presence on beautiful tunes with a monotonous melody that will gradually seep into your heart. This must-have super item for all rock fans is being released, packaging the historic collaboration between the two at the Cambridge Folk Festival with the best sound! Enjoy the overwhelming performance that transcends time and space with the ultimate sound! Live at Cherry Hinton Hall, Cambridge, UK 28th July 1984 TRULY AMAZING SOUND Disc 1 “Afternoon Set” 1.
